User panels let you create reusable gene lists in Gene Inspector Pro. A panel can represent a pathway, condition, review queue, research question, or set of genes you check often.

What user panels do

A user panel is a saved list of genes. After you create it, you can open the same list across genome files and focus review on the genes that matter for that task.

Common uses

  • Group genes from the same pathway or biological process.
  • Keep a review queue with genes still to check.
  • Separate checked genes from genes that need follow-up.
  • Review the same gene set across multiple uploaded genomes.
  • Create a pharmacogenetics, metabolism, cardiovascular, or custom research panel.

How to start

  1. Open the My Panels section.
  2. Create a new panel.
  3. Name the panel and add genes.
  4. Open the panel from a genome in your account.

Panels are for organization. They do not change variant calls or scores. They give you a cleaner way to decide which genes to review first.
